Chihuahua, May 1st, 2025 – Emerging artist De Louis releases his debut studio album Life of a Yellow Kid, a fresh 11-track electro-pop project that explores identity, youth, anxiety, and hope through a sonic aesthetic that blends retro and futuristic elements.
With influences ranging from synthpop to experimental electronic music, Life of a Yellow Kid serves as both an emotional and narrative manifesto about growing up in a hyperconnected, chaotic, and contradictory world.
“This album is like an emotional journal. It’s my way of processing what it means to be young today—with everything that comes with it: fear, euphoria, nostalgia, confusion... but also the urge to live it all to the fullest,” says the artist.
The album was independently produced between 2023 and 2025, combining analog synthesizers, electronic textures, and introspective lyrics. Key tracks include:
“Love Me” – A collaboration with Charlie Gahu. An energetic yet melancholic song that leans into a pop/hyperpop sound.
“You’re The Song” – A fun, upbeat track made for dancing and having a good time.
“Nubes Grises” – A melancholic reflection on men’s mental health and the belief of being undeserving of love due to past experiences.
“Good Times” – A track about enjoying life and making the most of every moment.
Life of a Yellow Kid is now available on all major digital platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music. The album is accompanied by a series of visuals and exclusive content on YouTube and TikTok. Each song features its own visualizer.
